BioMe, okay, me myself and I.
My sister just updated this bio thing because she figured a lot of people saw it regularly enough, and she hadn't updated in years. While looking at my old one, it still said, "I'm in high school" so I figure it's about time for a change here too.
I'm a college student, attempting to study music, but I've been rejected from the Music School twice now. I'm considering a transfer to remedy this, a friend of mine is going to a great school, and assures me that I'd probably get in. Other then that, I'm a junior here by credit hours, and yes, it terrifies me that maybe I wouldn't be if I decide to do the transfer.
I'm not a great electronics person, writer, or artist, but I try to do my best with whatever. I accept some of my limitations as limitations I have because i choose not to do anything about them.
Geekery is a favorite hobby of mine. I know what a trade paperback is versus a graphic novel (I collect both), and personal belief is that fantasy and sci-fi are the best genres out there. If the movie has good enough graphics and a half decent plot- i'm there. Books are awesome, but I tend to gravitate toward the young adult or teen section, even though my reading level is much higher then that. I want to read for fun, and if I have to think too hard about what's happening in the story, I'll just get tired. I attend cons (Well, a-kon, but a con all the same), but I don't dress up. Yet. My latest obsession is Supernatural, but I've had periods of Metalocalype, Static Shock, Harry Potter, Danny Phantom, Heroes, Torchwood, and Chuck, among others.
I'm very protective of my friends, but I'll let them make a lot of mistakes before feeling like I have an obligation to help them fix thier lives. Recently a friend went through a tough break up, and I slapped him at her request. I felt proud of myself. My friends are some of the coolest geeks known to man, a group of hot women and effeminate men. All of them are strange and intelligent, and I'll never know how I got lucky enough to be among thier number, but I'll always be thankful. Some of us are drama queens, but what group doesn't have that?
I'm a home-body who loves to go out and have fun when I can. Cooking is a skill I want to learn, and I knit and sew for fun when I have a lot of time to kill. I'm also bound a determined to get a tan this summer, hopefully, it wont rain as much.
That's all I can think of for now... I guess I'll catch you in the journal, or whatevs.
